WICKED!!!!

Last night, while I was doing dishes, my Dad came down stairs and said that he had a former student whose parents had tickets to Wicked tonight. Then he told us that they weren't feeling well and were offering us the tickets. I was excited, but knew that my Dad and Mom were probably going to go, and I would have to watch the kids. Thankfully, I was wrong! My Dad has been so busy lately with his concert at school and now that he is finally done with that, he wanted to spend time with the kiddos. So I got to go!! It was absolutely amazing! We got to sit in orchestra section B! It was so cool! We wouldn't normally go to a show on a Sunday night, but these tickets just fell right into our laps! The actors were absolutely amazing in this cast. Glinda and Elphaba had the most INCREDIBLE voices! And the actor who played Fiyero (Andy Kelso) went to Eaglecrest and UNC! I really had fun with my Mom and am so thankful we were given these tickets! What a fun night!

Livi time!

Today, I got to spend some time with my sweet little Livi. She is already 11 months old! It's crazy. Here are some pics!

Books I've completed in 2012 (so far!)

The Aviary By: Kathleen O'Dell-The Aviary is technically considered a children's novel, but I saw it in the shelf at the library one day and it just seemed so interesting to me. So I read it. I'm glad I did, it's an interesting little read. If you have kids, it's a good pick.

The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins-If you haven't read this book yet, then you've been living under a rock.

Catching Fire By: Suzanne Collins-The second book in The Hunger Games Trilogy. Liked it more than the first.

Mockingjay By: Suzanne Collins-The third book in The Hunger Games Trilogy. A little weird at some parts, but still very very good.

Brava, Valentine By: Adriana Trigiani
I didn't know that this was the second book out of three! But I enjoyed it and it made perfect sense! I didn't feel like I was missing anything that would have been contained in book one. I am just very excited for the release of the third book 'Caio, Valentine'!!

They are adorable and have so much fun playing together! their coach is a really great guy (not to mention gorgeous) and they have tons of fun. Kian's last game is next Thursday and they are going to get trophies and everything. It's going to be very cute. :) Here are some pics from the game!

A friend's death

It's been a little more than 3 months since Shawn left this life. But it still feels like it just happened. It feels like he is going to come back and that he has just been gone somewhere for a little while. But he is not coming back. And that fact is what hits the hardest. I didn't get a chance to say good bye. And if I did, I don't remember it because it wasn't a good enough last good bye. I want to have the opportunity to hug him one last time and tell him all of the things he did for me and how much his friendship meant to me. And how much I love him. I will get to tell him one day, and I just need to be patient. But when a close friend dies, it feels like a part of yourself has too.

Part-time job hunting

Hi All!
Unfortunately I was let go from my job because I was sick too often. I need to find a part time job so that I have time to go to the doctor to try and finally (after 8 years) find out why I'm always sick. If you know of any part time jobs in the Aurora, Centennial, or Parker areas please let me know! I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! <3

2. Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games)

3. Kathryn Stockett (The Help)

4. Stephanie Meyer (as much as I hate to say it, Twilight got me reading!)

Books I finished in 2011

1) The Other Boleyn Girl- Finished on 3/31/11

My comments: When I first looked at this book, I wanted to read it, but was pretty intimidated by the size of it! I made a dicision to finish it, and once I did, I really began to enjoy the story, and couldn't get enough of it! I loved the movie, and that's the reason why I picked it, but It's very different from the movie. But, if you liked the movie, you will LOVE the book! There is so much more information and detail in the book!

2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets- Finished on 4/10/11

My comments: I loved this book! When I was younger I didn't really get in to the Harry Potter books, but I LOVED the movies. I am glad that I have decided to read the books, because it just makes me more of a Harry Potter fan, and love it even more! On to the next!

3) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban- Finished on 4/24/11

My comments: Even better than Chamber of Secrets. Once you start one Harry Potter book you have to read the next one! I am excited to read the next one, but first, i need to go back and read the Sorcerer's Stone!

4) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - Can't remember when I finished! Probably around 4/30/11

My comments: I liked it! I read through it pretty quickly though! I was too excited to read Goblet of Fire! But, i gotta say, I am pretty proud of the amount of books I have completed since March!

5) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix- Finished on 6/15/11

My comments: My favorite potter book so far! I loved the details of Harry's family and the interesting twists!

6) Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince- This was my favorite Harry Potter book!

Easter fun! 2012

I love Easter. It's such a happy day. The Easter bunny comes ;) and the kids love their Easter basket surprises. I do too ;). Church is always so spiritual on Easter Sunday. I love the musical numbers and talks. They always remind me of how thankful I am to have a Savior that cares enough about me to suffer through my sins and die so painfully so that I could live in Heaven again. What a marvelous gift. It is unimaginable that someone could love you so much that they would be willing to sacrifice their life for you. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father every day or creating the miracle of The Atonement, and My Savior, Jesus Christ who made the Atonement possible. I was asked to sing in the Single's Ward today and I am so glad I was able to. Singing in Church always brings me so much joy and peace. After church today, we headed over to my Grandma Pat's house as we do every Easter. I love the time I get to spend with my whole family. The cousins get to play together, hunt for eggs, and just spend time with each other! We always have such a great dinner and enjoy joking and laughing together. I am thankful for my family, who love me no matter what, and that we all live so close. Here are some photos from the day! HAPPY EASTER!!
